Compare Result Tree View

The Compare Result Tree View is a special Tree View mode that displays the results of a comparison between two members or snapshots.
It highlights every detected difference in a side‑by‑side view, making it easy to analyze changes in values, references, or structures.

This view is used by both the Compare Tool and the Snapshot Tool when comparing:

  • Two live members.
  • Two snapshots.

How to Open

The Compare Result Tree View opens when you:

  • Click Start in the Compare Tool after assigning both Slot A and Slot B.

  • Assign two snapshots to comparison slots in the Snapshot Tool and click Compare.

  • Double‑click a past comparison from the History tab.


Layout and Features

The Compare Result Tree View displays:

  • Name Column — The member/property name.

  • Slot A Column — Value from the first compared item.

  • Slot B Column — Value from the second compared item.

  • Differences Highlighting — Changed values are highlighted for quick spotting.

You can also:

  • Navigate between changes using Prev / Next buttons.

  • Switch between tabs:

    • Differences — Shows only nodes where values differ.

    • Prev / Next — Navigate sequentially through detected changes.

  • Export results for documentation or sharing.


Returning to the Default Tree View

You can return to the normal inspector Tree View at any time:

  • Click the Close button in the top‑right corner of the Compare Result Tree View.

  • Press Escape.
